WHAT IS BOTULINUM TOXIN?
Botulinum toxin (botox) is a neurotoxic protein produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum and related species. when injected, it blocks certain chemical signals from nerves, mostly signals that cause muscles to contract. The most common use of these injections is to temporarily relax the facial muscles that cause wrinkles in the forehead and around the eyes but can be used on other areas of the face and body also.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
In general,, most clients return for treatment after 3-4 months. this does not mean that the results have fully worn off from their previous treatment, but that there is enough movement returned for them to want to repeat the process. each individual is different and There will certainly be patients in which it lasts longer, in that 4-6 month range, but It is also common for first-timers to notice that it may not last as long initially but may last longer after the second treatment.
